On behalf of Stena Line, Stena RoRo has signed a conversion contract with China Merchants Jinling (Weihai) Shipyard for the installation of an additional cargo deck, increased thruster capacity and preparations for shore power onboard the Stena Foreteller and Stena Forerunner.

Stena Line has confirmed plans to launch a new freight service between Dublin and Birkenhead (Liverpool) starting mid-February 2024.

Stena Line’s latest addition to its expanding Irish Sea ferry fleet, Stena Vision, has left the shipyard in Gdansk (Poland) following a major refit investment programme and is bound for Rosslare where it is due to go into service on the Rosslare-Cherbourg route on 30th June.

Two all-new hybrid propulsion vessels designed to run on methanol and adding 80% capacity on the Belfast-Heysham route will respond to increasing customer demand for capacity and sustainability performance. Construction of the NewMax vessels will begin shortly with launch on the Irish Sea in 2025.
