The Department of Transport has confirmed that the window for requesting permission to submit a late application under the Road Transporters Support Scheme (RTSS) is now closed.

The Department has confirmed that it is no longer accepting requests to submit a late application and the portal has been closed since 12 noon on Friday 24 July 2026.

All requests received before the deadline are now being assessed in accordance with the published criteria. Each request will be considered on its own merits, having regard to the information and supporting documentation provided.

Applicants will be notified once a decision has been made on their request. Where permission to submit a late application is granted, applicants will receive further information on the next steps in the process.
