The Irish Road Haulage Association (IRHA) will continue to lobby for the reform and restructuring of the Road Safety Authority (RSA), HGVIreland.com can confirm.
The IRHA has called for reform of the Driver CPC, driver testing regime, road safety measures and vehicle testing.
The Association has also called on Minister Sean Canney to appoint IRHA President, Ger Hyland to the board of the RSA.
The IRHA has accused the government of a “damaging U-turn” after it abandoned plans for substantive reform of the Road Safety Authority (RSA), despite committing to the changes following a high-level Indecon report last year.
