Ireland’s transport priorities for its upcoming EU Presidency were presented at the European Parliament’s Committee for Transport and Tourism in Brussels by Minister of State Seán Canney.
Minister Canney outlined Ireland’s commitment to advancing key transport priorities over the six-month Presidency, focusing on:
✅ Transport as an enabler for competitiveness
✅ Decarbonisation and delivering a just transition
✅ Delivering for citizens
✅ A safe, secure and resilient transport network
These priorities will be guided by Ireland’s overarching Presidency pillars of competitiveness, values, and security.
