CERTA expands HVO network with new Kilkenny fuel pump

CERTA Ireland has introduced HVO renewable diesel and AdBlue at the pump at its Kilkenny City fuel depot, expanding access to lower-carbon fuel options for hauliers, fleet operators and other diesel users.

The addition brings the number of sites offering HVO across CERTA’s nationwide network to 30, as the company continues to invest in renewable fuels.

According to CERTA, HVO can deliver up to a 90 per cent reduction in emissions compared with conventional diesel. The company says growing demand for lower-carbon fuels is driving the expansion of its HVO offering across Ireland.

Laura Byrne, Head of Sustainable Fuels at CERTA, said: “Great to see HVO now available at our Kilkenny depot. Demand for lower-carbon fuel solutions continues to grow, and making HVO more readily available is a key part of helping customers reduce emissions while keeping their operations moving.

“It’s encouraging to see the investment being made across our network as we expand access to renewable fuels throughout Ireland.”

For haulage operators considering renewable diesel, access to fuel along regular routes and close to operating bases is an important practical consideration. The Kilkenny addition provides another refuelling option for fleets operating in the region.

Byrne added: “We now have HVO available at 30 sites nationwide, making it easier than ever for customers to access renewable diesel when and where they need it. Exciting progress, with plenty more to come as we continue to grow our HVO offering across the country.”
