DPD Ireland is set to create 200 new jobs as part of a €10 million investment in a major expansion of its warehousing and logistics network in Dublin.
The company said the investment reflects continued growth across its business, including next-day parcel delivery, logistics services and its Out of Home offering.
The expansion will see DPD develop a second distribution hub at Gateway Logistics Park in Newlands Cross, Dublin 22. The new facility is designed to increase capacity as parcel volumes continue to grow and strengthen the company’s nationwide delivery network.
The 200 new roles will span operations, driving and administrative positions.
As part of the development, DPD will also deploy 270 autonomous robots to replace traditional conveyor systems, boosting sorting efficiency and enabling the hub to process up to 10,000 parcels every hour.
The new distribution centre is scheduled to become fully operational by October 2026.
DPD Ireland Chief Executive Des Travers said the investment was made possible by the company’s consistently high service standards.
“This expansion is a direct result of the 99% service level we consistently deliver to our customers. Their trust and continued support have enabled our growth across all areas of the business,” he said.
Mr Travers added that the new hub would help the company keep pace with rising demand while maintaining the high standards customers expect.
“This new hub strongly positions us to meet rising parcel delivery demand and ensures that we continue to provide the high level of service that our customers expect, year-round. It is an exciting step forward for DPD Ireland as we build for the future,” he said.
