Europe’s freight transport sector is getting ready for the future! On July 9th 2027, the eFTI Regulation will start applying in full, accelerating the transition from paper-based freight information to electronic data exchange across all transport modes in the EU.

What does this mean?

From that date, public authorities across the EU will be required to accept electronic freight information submitted by businesses through eFTI-certified platforms.

The common eFTI standards will also make it easier for businesses to exchange information with one another, helping streamline logistics, reduce administrative burdens, and improve efficiency throughout the transport chain.
