With the move towards electric vehicles gathering pace across Europe, the continent has reached a significant milestone in terms of electric charging points.

The EU 27 has more than 1 million publicly accessible electric vehicle charging points – 1,005,080 in total with 833,643 AC & 171,437 DC charging points to be exact.

90,000 AC and more than 30,000 DC charging points have been added to the EU’s road network this year alone, demonstrating the rapid scale-up of sustainable and accessible electric vehicle recharging infrastructure in line with the deployment targets outlined in the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation.
