Dublin Port has marked another major milestone with the opening of Phase Two at T4, adding 160 new trailer spaces — the equivalent of over 100,000 truck movements annually.
Backed by a €11.7m investment, T4 will be operated by Doyle Shipping Group, supporting the continued growth in unaccompanied RoRo trade — which now accounts for three quarters of all RoRo freight through the Port.
As larger vessels carrying up to 8km of unaccompanied trailers call at Dublin Port, facilities like T4 are critical to ensuring smooth, efficient, and sustainable freight flows between Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
This milestone reflects the combined efforts of Doyle Shipping Group, Wills Bros Group, and DBFL Consulting Engineers Ltd. and the Dublin Port Project Management team, who have worked in partnership to deliver a high-quality infrastructure project that will enhance the resilience and efficiency of Dublin Port.
The next chapter comes with the 3rd phase due to begin in 2026 — further strengthening Dublin Port’s role as a gateway for Ireland’s trade.
