When Westward Scania were looking for ways to mark their 50th anniversary of the Scania Truck, Bus & Coach & Parts distributorship for Ireland, they decided that one thing they could do is a Special edition truck for their legion of fans.

Scania’s Irish customers have always been huge fans of its legendary V8 engine, so the “Svempas, Westward Scania Special Edition” was conceived.

Svempas is a well-known truck customizer, and in 2021 he transferred his business to Scania for the production of limited edition truck runs.

And so followed the Scania Frost and Scania Fire special editions, all of which were limited to 50 units for the whole of Europe.

Westward’s special edition has also been limited to 50 units, and they are already sold out. “We could have done 100”, said Westward’s Sales and Marketing guru Thomas Diffley, “but we felt it only right to limit it to 50 units, given the special anniversary that we are celebrating this year”.

The fact that Svempas, passed away only in April this year, makes this the last “truly Svempas Special edition” and will ensure its exclusivity for many years to come.
