HGV drivers, van drivers, couriers and transport operators across Ireland and the UK are being invited to help shape the development of a new transport and logistics application.
Ireland-based SPM Consulting is seeking feedback from people working across the road transport and logistics sectors to identify the everyday challenges they face and the improvements they would like to see in the digital tools they use.
The company is developing a new transport and logistics app but, rather than deciding on its features in advance, wants to hear directly from the people who could ultimately use it.
The survey asks drivers and transport professionals to highlight the aspects of their daily work that could be made easier, the frustrations they experience with existing transport and logistics apps, and the additional features that could make a real difference.
Drivers and operators encouraged to have their say
SPM Consulting is inviting participation from a broad cross-section of the industry, including HGV drivers, van drivers, couriers, transport company owners, fleet managers, freight forwarders and other logistics professionals.
With transport operators increasingly relying on digital technology to manage deliveries, communicate with drivers and organise day-to-day operations, the company believes it is important to understand what users actually need before determining its development priorities.
The feedback gathered through the survey will help identify practical challenges and inform decisions about which features should be prioritised in the proposed application.
The survey is available in 12 language versions, including English, making it accessible to a wide range of drivers and logistics professionals.
Have your say
SPM Consulting is encouraging everyone involved in road freight, transport and courier operations to take a few minutes to complete the survey.
Participants are also being asked to share it with colleagues and industry contacts to ensure that as many different experiences and perspectives as possible are represented.
The company says the more feedback it receives, the better it will be able to understand the industry’s needs and develop a practical solution for those working on the road and behind the scenes.
