A nationwide road haulage stoppage is set to begin in Italy on Monday 20 tht April, running through until Saturday 25th April.

The action is part of an ongoing dispute regarding fuel prices and is expected to affect freight operations across the country.

Delays to both imports and exports, with potential knock-on effects and backlogs are to be expected.

The action has been called by Italian hauliers’ group Trasportounito over the long-running dispute about diesel prices and the ability of operators to recover fuel costs.

Diesel has remained above €2 per litre, prompting the group to call the stoppage.
