Launch of online road safety film

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) and Setanta Insurance Services Limited have launched a new road safety online short film called ‘Loaded Weapon’ on YouTube, which uses the metaphor of a loaded gun to illustrate the often reckless and irresponsible behaviour of young drivers. The film has already been viewed on YouTube almost 24,000 times.

Irish motorists are strongly in support of the newly reduced drink drive limit, says AA Ireland. According to a nationally representative poll carried out by AA Ireland last year, over 80 per cent of respondents said they were in favour of the drop in the legal drink drive limit from 80mg to 50mg.
