Stena Lines’ Stena Futura, the first of its next-gen hybrid ferries has officially set sail on her 15,000 nautical mile journey from China to Belfast.

This marks a major milestone in Stena’s journey towards more sustainable and efficient freight transport.

The Stena Futura will join the Belfast–Heysham route in mid-September, followed by her sister ship Stena Connecta in 2026.

Together, they’ll boost freight capacity on the route by 40 per cent , helping Stena meet growing customer demand between Northern Ireland and Great Britain.
