The Schmitz Cargobull team will be out in force at Road Transport Expo 2025 to showcase several new and updated trailers and services, with a high-profile presence across the event.
Visitors to stand Y7, located outside in the yellow zone at the NAEC, Stoneleigh, will be able to explore the award-winning fully electric S.KOe COOL reefer from Europe’s largest semi-trailer manufacturer.
The fully electric S.KOe COOL box semi-trailer features a quiet, emission-free design incorporating an e-axle that powers the S.CU ep85 refrigeration unit; perfect for early morning and late-night deliveries to retailers in urban areas.
Continuing the theme, Schmitz Cargobull will also be giving a new version of its S.KO URBAN its debut at the show with a specification not seen before from the manufacturer in the UK. The 10.5m long refrigerated box semi-trailer has been specifically developed for the UK and Ireland markets, based on the S.KO CITY. It offers an ideal solution for the supermarket and convenience sectors, where deliveries need to be made in busy, built-up areas.
The S.KO URBAN model at the show has a command-steer axle for greater manoeuvrability, a column tail-lift for efficient stowage, and a new generation Schmitz Cargobull S.CU dc85 multi-temperature refrigeration unit, which is 5% more fuel efficient than the model it replaces.
Frank Reppenhagen, Managing Director for the UK & Ireland at Schmitz Cargobull, says: “I look forward to meeting customers and, with my expert team, discussing how our comprehensive range of products can enhance their operations, making them more sustainable while boosting efficiency and profitability.”
A Manchester-built S.CS FREEPOST completes the trailer line-up for 2025. The semi-trailer curtainsider, which has been designed specifically for road transport businesses in the UK and Ireland, features post-free side access for quick and efficient loading and unloading.
The version at Road Transport Expo has several updated features to view. These include new Schmitz Cargobull LED rear lights; a bamboo floor, which is hardwood and sustainably sourced; new LED interior lights; an EcoPack aerodynamic storage box; new Schmitz Cargobull drum brake axle; new strong and robust X-TOUGH chassis for 44 tonnes or more ; pocketed curtains and spring lock buckles.
Visitors to the stand will also be able to see a selection of Schmitz Cargobull’s extensive spare parts range; explore TrailerConnect®, its telematics system with advanced functionality including EBPMS and geo-fencing; get the latest on the manufacturer’s Service Partner network; and learn more about the group and its commitment to sustainability in its operations, with experts in each field available for a chat.
Søren Danielsen, Manager of Strategy & Business Development at Schmitz Cargobull AG, will be taking part in a talk on day one of the event as part of the conference programme. He will be discussing how collaboration can improve supply chain visibility, optimise work processes, and simplify digital connectivity between businesses.
Schmitz Cargobull trailers will also be available to put through their paces as part of the Ride & Drive segment of the expo.
Road Transport Expo takes place at the NAEC in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, from 24 to 26 June.
