Brittany Ferries is set to increase sailings between Rosslare and Cherbourg from five to seven per week starting in October, filling the gap left by Stena Lineโ€™s withdrawal.

A new Tuesday 21:00 departure is included, with more additions coming soon.

The expansion supports Irish hauliers and offers more travel options for passengers, bypassing UK landbridge delays.

The companyโ€™s new โ€˜ro-ro railโ€™ link from Cherbourg to Bayonne will also boost freight options with lower emissions and no need for accompanying drivers.

Passenger numbers are up 40% and freight has doubled this year, confirming strong demand.

The move keeps ships like GALICIA and PONT-AVEN active through winter, increasing overall capacity by 25%.
