Irish Ferries commissions new cruise ferry


Irish Ferries has commissioned a new cruise ferry, which is scheduled for delivery before Mid-2020 for operation on routes between Dublin and Holyhead. Upon completion, it will be the largest cruise ferry in the world in terms of vehicle capacity. The (estimated) 67,300 tonnes vessel, which will be built at a contract price of €165.2 million, will accommodate 1,800 passengers and crew.It will have 152 cabins and 5,610 freight lane metres with room for 330 freight vehicles or 1,500 passenger cars.
