Volvo to exhibit at Hillhead
Volvo Trucks are showing three key, fuel efficient, Euro 5 certified, contrasting trucks from their range on the stand they are sharing with Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) at the Hillhead Show in 2010.
Volvo trucks now come with environmental product declaration
All Volvo FE and FL trucks now come complete with Volvo Trucks’ unique Environmental Product Declaration – EPD. This means that all buyers or owners of new Volvo trucks in Europe have access to a detailed lifecycle analysis of the vehicle’s environmental footprint.
It’s just like driving a car
When Volvo Trucks launched the world’s strongest series-manufactured truck, the Volvo FH16-700, Tore Aase of Norway quickly placed an order and became the first customer in the world to take delivery of the brand-new model. He has now driven the truck in regular operations for about six months.
Volvo trucks increases production
In recent months Volvo Trucks has seen positive signs of increased demand from its customers, albeit from a very low level, but now thanks to a successful reduction in its new truck inventory, the production of new vehicles will now be increased.
Volvo tests methane-diesel trucks
In February, Volvo Trucks will be starting field tests of methane-diesel engines in commercial operation together with a number of Swedish customers.
Volvo breakthrough
Volvo Trucks will be the first manufacturer with an efficient diesel engine fuelled by a mixture of methane gas and diesel to meet the strict Euro-5 exhaust emission standards introduced in 2009. Field testing will start in Sweden and the UK in 2010.
