Mercedes-Benz truck of the future

In 10 years time, commercial vehicles will consume 20 per cent less fuel while CO2 emissions will be reduced by the same amount, according to Mercedes-Benz truck and bus director Andreas Renschler, who made his comments during a recent truck test drive across the San Bernardino Pass in Switzerland.

Mercedes-Benz has announced its intent to exhibit at the planned Commercial Vehicle Show next year, with all of its divisions represented.  Mercedes-Benz Vans, Trucks, Approved Used Commercials, Econic, Unimog and Mitsubishi Fuso Canter are set to appear at Birmingham’s NEC from 12-14 April 2011.

Sprinter and Vito scoop top awards

Mercedes-Benz’ Sprinter and Vito vans took major awards in the Courier,Express and Parcel services Van of the Year 2010 competition held recently in Germany winning first place in the 3.5-ton and 3.0-ton van categories respectively.
