Driver CPC doesn’t address issues – truckers say

Driver CPC training courses around the country, aren’t addressing the issues facing the haulage industry today. That’s the opinion of dozens of truck drivers that contacted the Joe Duffy Show, on RTE1 radio on Tuesday.

If you are a professional Bus or Truck driver you now have to undertake one day’s training per year under a new Driver CPC EU Directive. This Directive came into effect for mini-bus and bus drivers from 10th Sept. 2008 and came into effect on 10th September 2009 for truck drivers.
