New HGV and LCV registrations continue to plummet on the back of the recession with just 48 trucks registered in October, down 65.2 per cent on the same period last year.
Year to date figures show a 70.4 per cent decline (1,015) compared to the same period in 2008 (3,427).
Light Commercial Vehicle registrations for October 2009 (448) are down 52.5 per cent on the same period last year (943).
The year to date figure at 8,806 is 70% down on the first ten months of last year (29,335).
