AA Roadwatch is advising music and arts lovers heading to Stradbally Hall, Co. Laois for Electric Picnic this weekend to plan ahead to reduce traffic heartache.
Friday afternoon / evening and Monday morning are expected to see the worst traffic particularly at Money Cross and Bloomfield Round About.
The campsite will open at 9am on Friday 3rd and close at 1 pm on Monday 6th September. Queuing on Thursday night is prohibited by event organisers and GardaÍ.
“With the new M8 Portlaoise to Cullahill Motorway opening in April, getting to Electric Picnic will be easier than ever this year, whether you are coming from Munster or Leinster,” says Nicola Hudson, AA Roadwatch Controller.
