Driver CPC training courses around the country, aren’t addressing the issues facing the haulage industry today. That’s the opinion of dozens of truck drivers that contacted the Joe Duffy Show, on RTE1 radio on Tuesday.
Numerous experienced truck drivers were “up in arms” over the course content, which they said does not address key issues such as the
Working Time Directive, or Tachograph Rules.
A number of truck drivers that contacted the show said that the course content did not address any of the issues that hauliers face on a daily basis.
The general consensus of opinion was that the Driver CPC was just another revenue generating exercise dressed up as a road safety initiative.
