Time to manage work related vehicle risk

June 18, 2010

The Chartered Institute of Transport & Logistics is organising a breakfast seminar on managing work related vehicle risk.

The seminar will build on the recent “Driving for Work Seminars” organised by the Road Safety Authority and Health and Safety Authority.

Attendees will hear practical and easy to implement solutions that can help them effectively the risks in relation to work-related driving and reduce the potential for harm to people and business losses

Driving for work poses risks not only for the driver, but also for fellow workers and members of the public, such as pedestrians and other road users. Employers must, by law, manage the risks that employees face and create when they drive for work.

This breakfast meeting will assist employers in identifying the risks associated with driving for work and provide assistance in developing an effective driving for a work management plan.

Presentations will be presented from Deirdre Sinnott  (Health & Safety Authority) & Sgt. Jim McAllister (Road Safety Unit An Garda Siochana).

Content will be delivered in a practical and easy to understand format and no specialised knowledge or expertise is required.
